Underfloor heating is already widely accepted in mainland Europe, with the majority of all new installations in Germany being underfloor. Increasingly, underfloor heating is being specified and installed in the UK for a large variety of buildings, including commercial, domestic dwellings, schools, sports halls, leisure centres and medical facilities. See our projects section.

Cutaway

Cross linked polyethylene pipes buried in screed, or running below the floor surface in floating or suspended applications, raise the temperature of the floor surface which, in turn, releases heat into the room.

Levels of thermal comfort exceed other forms of heating because underfloor heating provides heat by functioning as a large, low temperature radiant heater emitting heat evenly to the room.

New material technology into heat transfer makes it possible to achieve cost-effective warm water underfloor heating that incorporates energy efficiency and high performances, utilising a low water temperature of between 45°C and 55°C. This results in substantial savings in running costs and favourably life cycle heating costs.
